and Brit--The Hector
        About DEVRO:

She awakened many years later to find herself the mother of a school-age boy, a wife of 15 years, home alone and growing wackier by the day.

Sometime between the monosyllable "goo-goos" and single-most dreaded, three-letter-word on the lips of a pubescent boy (S-E-X), menopause came and settled upon her. She was getting wackier!

She tried her hand at writing--the hand was the only thing to show any talent, ambition or consistency. Then she tried oil painting--this only produced the true meaning of "still" life. Each day started with the boy and the dad. Each day ended with the boy and the dad. Did I mention she was getting wackier!

As a matter of course, the boy found her amusing. The dad saw dollar signs, bought her a sketch book, computer (two in fact), graphics ware and said, "Log (as in journal) our lives." Two years and two sketchbooks later, she's realizing a new purpose had been intended From The Getgo.

Devro is the designer and editor of FROM THE GETGO. Her brief vitae includes a BS in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, two courses in children's literature from the University of Dallas, and animation from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. She currently exhibits The Devro Collection of limited edition children's prints at http://www.artcommunications. Devro is the mother of one son, age 12, and a wife of 15 years. She is also one of the world's longest living organ transplantees of 29 years.
