Forsha Family Flowers

Flower gardening and wooden garden objects

Gardening for me was not love at first sight. In my younger years I would mow the lawn, flower beds and anything in the path of my mower. I did not have any respect for flowers and the beauty they provide. My wife kept planting the beds and I finally stopped mowing the flowers down. We moved to the country and planted about 1/3 of an acre in vegetables and flowers. Most of the vegetables gave way to Sunflowers and Irises and Gladiolus. The gardens started to add interesting additions to the flowers. Garden Visitors made their homes here among the flowers and structures.

Starting without a design for the gardens was not the best approach. This was our largest mistake but we were impulsive and eager to begin. Maintenance sometimes become a problem with weeding and watering the plants because of our work schedule. We decided at the beginning to have an informal garden and use recycled materials for the path and patio.

I am not inclined to make a page of links because of the tendency to be redundant. However there are several sites or links worth mentioning. The Gardening Launching Pad is an excellent location with 1010 links and 41 categories to other sites and is filled with useful information.
